Editorial Production
Concept, brand identity, and campaign creative direction for a registered fashion brand I founded. A hybrid production, real live-action execution alongside AI-generated visuals. Paused post-launch due to funding.
Modern African fashion campaigns often explain themselves: heritage in the caption, culture in the copy. Atúnkè set out to skip the explanation. The world had to announce itself through image alone, the way an established brand never has to justify its own existence.

Atúnkè is a fashion identity built on a single premise: elegance and royalty were never absent from the culture, only overlooked. Not a trend to introduce. A return to something that was already there.

The Thinking
Most fashion campaigns sell sensuality as spectacle, loud and performative. Atúnkè needed a different register: ceremonial instead of theatrical, confident instead of demanding attention. Every frame, generated or shot, had to carry quiet authority, not ask for it.
The Approach
I creatively directed the full production: real live-action film and editorial photography, built alongside AI-generated imagery where it served the world I was building. The two had to feel like one language, not two techniques stitched together.
The Execution
The campaign moved across film, editorial stills, and campaign imagery, building toward one idea: the woman of Atúnkè carries history while moving through the present with full presence.
Where This Leaves the Work
The campaign post reached 52.1K likes and over 1,500 comments, with a companion video hitting 330K+ views. Viewers asked to model for the brand. Others asked when it would launch. The market answered the strategic question the brand was built to ask: yes, this resonates. I registered Atúnkè and launched it. I paused it after, when the funding needed to scale production and fulfillment wasn't there. The demand was real. The capital wasn't, not yet. That's a different problem than a bad idea, and it's the one I'm solving for next.
@atunke.africa We were never erased. Only interrupted. ATÚNKÈ. Return to Royalty. It pairs perfectly with: “It was never hidden. Only waiting.” It feels historical. It feels sovereign. It feels inevitable.

Brand Guidelines
I built a full reference system covering logo usage, color, typography, and imagery standards, so the identity could hold together across campaign, product, and any future touchpoint without drift.
